Back in 2012, we organized our very first motorcycle ride in Crete to wish all fellow riders a happy new year. Together with Moto Adventures, we designed the route, got on our bikes, and lived an unforgettable day, riding magical kilometers all the way to Zaros, where the ride concluded with what has now become a tradition — the GAS Pie Cutting.

The meeting point for Crete’s riders every January for fourteen consecutive years. We kick off the year with the energy of a ride of 400+ motorcycles. Because how else should 2026 begin?
Yes! You can join with a scooter, motorcycle, or anything else on two wheels. Every rider follows their own pace, naturally forming small groups that travel comfortably together.
Approximately 220 kilometers. The longest route we’ve ever done was 270 km. There is always an organized coffee stop, as well as points of interest for photos marked on the map, where anyone can stop freely. It’s important for every rider to take breaks whenever they feel the need. The group ride is large, and you will never be alone.

Participation in the GAS Pie Moto Tour is free for everyone. You simply show up at the meeting point on the scheduled date and time. Reservation and prepayment are required only for the lunch at the tavern where the Pie Cutting takes place, due to limited seating.
The route changes every year but always takes place within the regions of Chania and/or Rethymno.
We start from the GAS physical store at Kissamou 98, Chania. When the route heads towards Rethymno, a second meeting point is set at the coffee stop for riders coming from eastern Crete.
Every great ride here in Crete ends exactly where it should: at the tavern. At the end of the route, around 120 people gather to eat, laugh, and cut the traditional New Year’s pie, with four lucky coins and four gifts. Participation in the meal requires reservation and prepayment of your seat once details are announced. See you at the table.
